The team of the Kids to Kids Foundation visited the Municipal Educational and Rehabilitation Center in Udaytsi city of the Chernihiv Regional Council to meet the graduates.

The assistance provided by the Foundation and benefactors includes personal backpacks with essential items for independent living, lovingly assembled by benefactors in collaboration with our team.

“We have been acquainted with the children of Educational and Rehabilitation Center in Udaytsi city for over 5 years. And for the fifth time, we are seeing off the young boys and girls into independent life. During this time, the children have grown up. It’s heartwarming to feel the joy of the children every time we meet! The heart fills with love from warm embraces, shining eyes eagerly peering into the gift packages! The joyful smiles of the children remain in memory, and we eagerly await the next meeting,” says Natalia Kiseleva, Director of the Kids to Kids Foundation.

It is also very important that the Kids to Kids Foundation team supports children not only materially but also psychologically, taking care of their feelings and emotions. Meetings, communication, and attention to the children help them feel that they are not alone, and their dreams and desires matter to other people. Guest visits with benefactors who have the opportunity to personally see the children and interact with them can truly become an extremely inspiring and significant experience for all participants.

This year, the initiative of hair stylist Tatiana Tomilina serves as an additional example of how to make the graduation day special and memorable for the children. The girls had their makeup done and festive hairstyles created. It truly was a celebration of beauty, which undoubtedly made the children happier.

“I felt a strong desire within myself to simply give attention to these wonderful children, to show them even a fraction of the care that each of them lacks. In reality, it doesn’t take much effort to do that. Just the willingness and a little free time. You can’t imagine how their eyes lit up when I brushed their faces a couple of times. That was the main mission of this event,” shares Tatiana Tomilina, a hairstylist who gifted the girls with unforgettable looks and emotions.

Albina Zubarenko, a graduate of Toretsk Social Rehabilitation Center 2022, also managed by the Kids to Kids Foundation, also supported the “Road to Life” project. The young volunteer, who now studies at the State Vocational School “Interregional Center of Jewelry Art” in Kyiv, came to visit children of the Educational and Rehabilitation Center in Udaytsi to interact with them and share her experience. Albina assisted in creating festive hairstyles for the graduating girls.

“Our children are always happy to have guests! Many thanks to the Kids to Kids Foundation for the celebration for our graduates, gifts for the little ones, and years of powerful support! The co-founders of the Kids to Kids Foundation are all mothers, and they take care of our residents as if they were their own children. The noble work of the Kids to Kids team is an example of how we can make the world a better place and help those in need,” says Valentina Nikolaevna Protsenko, Director of the Municipal Educational and Rehabilitation Center in Udaytsi city.
