Mohamed Buali. Project "Happiness for every family"

Mohamed Buali

Diagnosis: Cerebral palsy.

Galina (mother of Mohamed) is an orphan. After the death of her mother, from the age of 5 years she was raised by her grandmother, who today is the only relative and friend of Galina and her baby.

Galina married in 2011 and left to live in Morocco. Waiting for the first child, the pregnancy took place safely and nothing anticipated trouble. Childbirth had to be stimulated at the 42th weeks. Mohamed ‘s life began with clinical death. From the first minutes, the baby needed resuscitation, which lasted 14 days. Then there were the disturbing symptoms: lack of a sucking reflex….. and long months of sleepless nights. In the first year, the delay in development was diagnosed. At seven months the family returned to the Ukraine and remained living in Kharkov, as by that time doctors had already predicted the Infant Cerebral Palsy (ICP) and in the Ukraine there were more opportunities for rehabilitation. Examinations and repeated treatments in different hospitals… And yet disappointing diagnoses:

spastic cerebral palsy, double hemiplegia, motor disorders as classified by GMFSC IV degree. Delay in the pace of statokinetic and speech development. Haze of left eye cornea in central zone. Valgus deformation of feet, kyphoscoliotic production.

In May 2015 further diagnoses were made: nefrokaltsinoz of both kidneys. Systemic underdevelopment of speech of severe degree. Dysarthria due to CNS damage.

After the final diagnosis of the cerebral palsy, Mohamed was registered with a disability.

All this time parents have been trying all kinds of treatment programs. Mohamed took intensive neurophysiological rehabilitation courses at the Kozyavkin International Clinic in Truskavets, courses on the system of Fendelkraiz, Tomatis, Sandakov, ippotherapy, swimming pool… Systematic classes with correction teacher, speech teacher.

After 3 years of regular treatment, Dad put his hands down and left for Morocco and from there filed for divorce. Since then, little Mohamed has been living happily with his loving mum and 90-year-old great-grandmother. Mom believes with all her heart that her Mohamed is a very promising child. He understands everything, though he doesn ‘t speak. The baby doesn ‘t hold his head well, doesn ‘t sit, doesn ‘t walk… But he ‘s kind and affectionate, fun and cheerful. More expensive and more native to it is not in the whole world!

Every time mom opens something new for her son during the rehabilitation course, be so happy of even slightest improvements. The mother and son are ready to learn and work hart to achieve new positive results, but their budget is enough only for diapers and the most necessary everyday needs.

Mohamed is the first child and means everything in Galina’s life, they enjoy happiness, despite all difficulties. Like every mom she wishes her dearest son could overcome everything!

Dear friends, with your help, we will be able to provide Mohamed with monthly medications to maintain his health, to guarantee the payment of one rehabilitation per year.
