Anna Gusarova. Project "Happiness for every family"

Date of birth: 30.06.2016
м. Bila Tserkva

Diagnosis:
Cerebral palsy, delayed speech development, cerebral cortex atrophy, hip dysplasia, scoliosis.

The pregnancy of the future mother was complicated by ARVI in the first trimester. Later Nadiia spent almost all the pregnancy period in the hospital with a diagnosis of polyhydramnios. The baby was born by cesarean section and screamed almost immediately.

Her vaccinations were on schedule, except for BCG (done at the age of 3 months because the vaccine was not available in Ukraine at the time of birth). A day after the vaccination, she developed severe spasticity, stopped turning over, became lethargic, did not cry, and hardly reacted to anything. Since then, examinations and treatment with expensive medications began, and later, terrible diagnoses were made: Cerebral palsy, delayed speech development, cortical atrophy, scoliosis, etc.

At the age of 1.8 years, Ania was diagnosed with another condition: equilateral strabismus and underwent surgery on both eyes at the Eye Microsurgery Clinic. Since then, she has been under medical supervision every 6 months.

At 9 months of age, the child was put in a ventilator for six months to equalize the difference in length between the legs. The doctor’s further recommendation was not to try to put Anya on her feet until she wanted to. Time passed, but this did not happen. By the age of 5, the child was not walking, not standing upright – after numerous consultations, a pelvic X-ray was eventually taken and dysplasia of the hip joints was found. Next came the surgery in Kharkiv on both legs (metal plates were inserted, which were removed in a year), and after the surgery Anya spent 5 months in a plaster cast. Then, during rehabilitation, the child’s leg was broken. It was terrible! Again, 2 months in a cast – during this long period, the child’s condition deteriorated dramatically, and she lost weight due to stress.

In 2020, bones were inserted into the pelvis at the Kharkiv Regional Hospital.

“Currently, we are trying to constantly undergo rehabilitation courses at the RC KROK ZA KROKOM DO METY, Kyiv. All the specialists here know my daughter well. Permanent specialists: a speech therapist, a massage therapist, a psychologist, an equine-assisted therapy coach, an exercise physician, work with Anna. Unfortunately, the daughter still cannot walk on her own, does not speak, does not chew food, and is in a diaper. Anya has a 66-degree scoliosis, which we are trying to overcome. We are constantly monitored at OHMATDYT, the child wears an individual corset, which is altered every 6 months because the child grows up. Spinal surgery is not yet advised, because Anechka is still small. Such an operation is recommended to be done only in adolescence.
Anya is generally a calm and attentive girl, sometimes showing her temper. She likes to play with children, musical toys, listen to music and draw. She dreams of riding a bicycle on her own”, – says Anya’s mom.

Anya is constantly in need:
✔️ Diapers size 6-7
✔️ Rehabilitation courses at the RC KROK ZA KROKOM DO METY, Kyiv, 4-5 times a year
✔️ Medicines that the child takes in courses twice a year:
✔️ Quanil syrup 5 ml 2 times a day
✔️ Neurokids syrup 5 ml twice a day.
