Since March 2022, activists and volunteers have been organizing demonstrations, rallies, meetings, and concerts to help their compatriots and draw attention to Ukraine.
Recently, Hanna Konieva realized the idea of a charity event to raise funds for Ukrainian children, as she volunteered at a foundation that helped children with cerebral palsy from an orphanage in Dnipro while living in Ukraine.
Hanna chose our Foundation and held a charity event on her birthday.
The team of activists offered 5 creative workshops to children and adults:
– singing and dancing of Ukrainian spring songs (with the Ukrainian folklore group Rodovid @rodovid_ukraine),
– Petrykivka painting (@zihuniva_olha),
– acting (@olga_psychologin @playback_theater_feld),
– crocheting (@tetyana_k_b)
– and dancing (@aakoneva).
The event also featured merchandise from Ukrainian craftsmen and women, and children and their parents worked together to draw a poster for the Kids to Kids Foundation.
Those who were unable to attend the event joined the fundraiser via PayPal. The amount of €578 raised was enough to pay for a rehabilitation course for Dasha Klimenko. The girl has already started working with the specialists of the rehabilitation center.
It is crucial for children with disabilities to undergo several rehabilitation courses a year for the rest of their lives to not only maintain but also improve their health and general condition.
