“Road to Life” project at Berdychiv Special School Ukraine

The end of school is the most responsible time for children. “Road to Life” is a project aimed at supporting graduates of orphanages and boarding schools. The Kids to Kids Foundation organized a real joyful picnic at the Berdychiv Special School.

For six years in a row, the Foundation’s team has been collecting backpacks for the graduates of foster homes. These backpacks are their first own bags with necessary items lovingly gathered by the donors. This year, the Berdychiv Special Boarding School is preparing to send off 9 graduates into adult life.

The event took place in a warm and family atmosphere. Everyone experienced many positive emotions, and the children were able to make new friends. Volunteers played with the children outdoors, grilled sausages, and treated them to marshmallows by the fire. At the end of the celebration, there was a photoshoot for the graduates, and their outfits were complemented by fashionable clothes from Ukrainian designer Olena Maricheva.

On this day, words of guidance were given to the graduates and gratitude was expressed to their mentors.

“When we talk about assistance, we often imagine it only in material terms. But even good toys bring joy only for a short time. Only sincere feelings have no expiration date, they stay with us throughout our lives. Believe in yourselves—everything will work out for you”, — advised Natalia Kiselyova, the director of the Kids to Kids Foundation.

Such meetings are very important, according to Zhanna Dmitrivna Hromnytska, the director of the Berdychiv Special School, as children live through emotions. Memories and positive emotions remain in the souls of every child for a long time.
On this day, the residents of the children’s home were visited by singer Andriy Kyshe and the team of the “Reya” charity foundation, who presented them with televisions, scooters, roller skates, and art supplies.
“I am pleased to be here. My participation in this project is important to me. I want children, by looking at my example, to strive for something and not be afraid to engage in their favorite activities,”, — shared Andriy Kyshe.
Special thanks to Klosterfrau Healthcare Group for donating the sore throat lozenges that will serve as a preventive measure against diseases for the children.

The team of the Kids to Kids Foundation sincerely thanks all friends and donors supporting the “Road to Life” project this year!
