The Road to Life is an annual initiative of our foundation aimed at supporting orphanage graduates in their transition to independent living.
Launched in 2017, the project arose out of a desire to help young people overcome uncertainty and fear of the future outside the walls of a boarding school/orphanage.
“Road to Life” is not just about collecting things. It is a project that aims to support young people from specialized boarding schools/ orphanages in the important transition to adulthood. At this stage, every little bit counts, as these young people are often not only without parents, dreams and goals, many of them have already experienced violence and their baggage includes bad memories, pain and fear of the future. How does it work?
1. We receive letters from graduates of the institutions we support and are looking for benefactors to pack the first suitcase of their own for the young men.
2. We collect things and/or funds to buy the necessary things for independent living: household appliances, clothes, shoes, bedding, etc.
3. Anyone can join the project by choosing a letter from a graduate and packing a bag with the necessary things.
If you wish, you can write a reply letter with your advice, which can be an important support for a young person. Some benefactors provide assistance with employment and accommodation for graduates. This is a great responsibility, and we are proud of such actions!
