How feminine energy and unity in Spain
have been transformed into support for children
Recently, in sunny Spain, an event took place that combined profound meaning, feminine strength and a sincere desire to change the world for the better. The “Code of Life” charity evening became a special space where, amidst the daily grind, women were able to pause, listen to themselves and recharge their batteries for a greater cause.
The atmosphere of the evening was filled with live music, exquisite refreshments and heartfelt conversations. The highlight of the event was a talk by Viktoria Pekur, which prompted guests to reflect on inner strength and life’s journey. And thanks to a charity auction of energetic paintings by art therapist Inna Prontenko, guests had the opportunity not only to engage with art but also to make a significant contribution to children’s futures.
Thanks to the open hearts of the community members in Spain, 208,178 UAH was raised during the event. These funds have become a tangible means of helping children with disabilities and orphans who need our special attention.
Thanks to the donations received, we have been able to provide the children at the Berdychiv Regional Rehabilitation Centre and the participants in the ‘Happiness for Every Family’ project with essential equipment.
The funds raised were used to purchase:
✅ A bath seat for a child with cerebral palsy for Ivan Yachmin costing 34,450 hryvnias;
✅ Medical equipment for physiotherapy rooms: a ‘Biomed’ oxygen concentrator, a ‘Potok’ galvanisation and electrophoresis unit, and a ‘Biomed’ ultrasound therapy device, with a total cost of 83,118 hryvnias for the Berdychiv Regional Rehabilitation Centre;
✅ Weighted Blankets
✅ A standing frame for a child with a disability to improve mobility and support muscle health, costing 74,000 hryvnias, was received by Yaromir Myshovsky.
✅ Food and fruit helped lift the children’s spirits in the shelter during the air raid alert.
For some, this is just a list of equipment or figures in a report. But for those in our care, it is a chance to be free from pain, an opportunity to move comfortably and take steps towards recovery that previously seemed impossible.
This evening proved once again that when women come together, an unbeatable force for good is born. The distance between Spain and Ukraine vanished, as we were united by shared values and a love for children who are waiting for a miracle.
