The meeting with children from the “Happiness for Every Family” project took place as part of the annual “Happy Picnic” event, which was launched in 2019. This event was a long-awaited one, as it was created for low-income families with children with disabilities to promote communication between parents and provide children with the opportunity to relax with friends, and mothers to relax in a circle of like-minded people. In peacetime, families of the Foundation’s beneficiaries from different regions of Ukraine gathered in Kyiv to join this event.
This time, three families took part in the event. Among them were new participants, including Artem Fedko from Zaporizhzhia, who came to Kyiv to attend a rehabilitation course at the LTD CFC “KROK ZA KROKOM” center of the Kids to Kids Foundation, Zakhar Bobos with his mother Maria and older brother Nazar from Kyiv, who has just joined the monthly assistance project, and Kirill Medvedev with his mother from Bakhmut district, who now live in Vydubych, Kyiv region.
The meeting took place at the Fly kids entertainment center, where the children had the opportunity to enjoy rides, play with toys and enjoy delicious pizza and potatoes. In addition, they received hand-beaded shoppers and goodies as gifts.
All the participants had a great time, and their emotions were captured in unforgettable photos, thanks to the volunteer work of photographer Olga Chursina, who responded and supported this good project.
Such meetings are extremely important for the Foundation’s team, as they provide an opportunity for personal communication with the children and their parents. These meetings help to maintain and create a positive mood among children and their families, as well as to develop and popularize similar charitable projects in society.
Thanks to the joint efforts and support of volunteers, benefactors and all participants of the event, this day became special for everyone who took part in it and provided an invaluable experience of joy and mutual understanding.
We would like to thank the network of family entertainment complexes in Ukraine FLYKIDS for free admission for children with disabilities, Olga Chursina for a photo shoot for mothers and children, Inna Bubnova for goodies, and Natalia Lyakhotska for the handmade embroidery shops.
