Christmas Angel is an annual charity event of Kids to Kids Fund, which brings together hundreds of families on the eve of the New Year and gives them the opportunity to start the next yea giving joy to orphans and families with children with disabilities.
Every year, around Christmas, Kids to Kids Fund collects hundreds of letters from children from orphanages and boarding schools. In letters, children write their most cherished wishes to the Christmas Angel, who is able to perform miracles at Christmas time. These desires are fulfilled by the “Christmas angels” – the participants of the project, families together with their children. They do not just answer letters and buy cherished gifts for children, but together with their children write a respond to these letters.
In 2016, the project covered 500 children from 9 orphanages. This year the fund collected 1000 letters from 12 orphanages and low-income families with seriously ill children.
The completion of the project was held in the State City Hall (KMDA) on December 9, 2017. In this beautiful hall, the children together with their parents created their own decorations and decorated Christmas trees, which were send with gifts right from the holiday to the orphanage and families. A piece of heat from Kiev was scattered all over Ukraine and brought warm to thousands of children’s hearts, hoping that their Christmas Angel is always with them.
Children from the families of the project participants prepared a special show – musical “12 months”, the premiere of which was held in the State City Hall.
The program of the event included performances of talented children, participants in vocal and instrumental competitions.
For younger guests, game zones and a professional animation program were prepared.
We want to say words of special gratitude to everyone who supported the project this year! And especially to our partners and volunteers, who rendered us such invaluable help during the project and final event. You have become an important part of our team of Kinds to Kids Fund!
