This month, the Kids to Kids Charitable Foundation has once again fulfilled its mission and made another dream come true – a four-seater stroller for kids from the Kyiv City Center for Social support for children and families in the village of Vorzel. The history of this Center dates back to 1933 when the humanitarian doctor M.M. Gorodetsky established the Vorzel combine for orphans on the Vorzel estate’s territory. Today, the institution accepts up to 60 children aged from birth to 10 years.
At a recent meeting, the children were warmly greeted by the foundation’s director Natalia Kiseleva and volunteer Maria Hatskevich. The positive atmosphere and joy were palpable when the kids received not only a new wheelchair, but also accompanying gifts – summer shoes and underwear, and their favorite children’s cookies.
The team of educators, who take great care of the kids, left an unforgettable impression with their care and warmth. The territory of the institution was clean and cozy, creating a comfortable atmosphere for children.
Since 2008, under the leadership of Lymar Tetyana the center has been implementin the program “At Home”. The essence of the project is to change the social environment of children, to create conditions as close to home as possible conditions as close to home as possible, and to develop attachment to a stable environment and staff.
The four-seater stroller is another manifestation of care and support from the Kids to Kids charity foundation, which continues to help and do good deeds for children who need our attention. Let this stroller be a symbol of love and connection between the kind hearts of benefactors who unite to make the world a better place.
