The ‘Norway–Ukraine’ Bridge of Goodwill.

How ENGLELYS supported children
as part of the ‘Happiness for Every Family’ project

True charity is built on trust that knows no borders. Sometimes, a simple social media page can be the start of a great international friendship. This is exactly how the collaboration between the ‘KIDS TO KIDS’ Foundation and the Norwegian organisation ENGLELYS

Trust at first sight

Our colleagues from Norway found out about our work through social media. Sensing the sincerity of our mission and seeing the tangible results of our work, they expressed a desire to support children with disabilities from low-income families. The first step was the donation of children’s shoes, bed linen and blankets.

After receiving a detailed report and having a heartfelt telephone conversation with our director, Natalia Kiselova, representatives from ENGLELYS were convinced that they had found a reliable partner in Ukraine. That is why they accepted the proposal to provide large-scale targeted assistance to children with disabilities from low-income families — participants in our project ‘Happiness in Every Family’ .

Targeted care: 10 happy stories

It is worth noting that ENGLELYS systematically helps Ukrainians at various levels. And they approached our project with particular care. Having received information about urgent needs, the Norwegian organisation selected 10 specific children with disabilities from low-income families, launched a fundraising campaign and purchased everything on the list:

  • Hygiene and nappies — essential daily care;
  • Baby food — for health and strength;
  • Clothing and comfort — underwear, socks and soft fleece blankets;
  • Toys — what children love most of all!

Every child received a large parcel, packed with so much love and warmth.

Gratitude that transcends distance

We would like to express our sincere gratitude to the entire ENGLELYS team and all those who took part in the collection in Norway, thanks to whom the following families:

Balagura, Degtyarenko, Bobos, Ternopilski, Galchenko, Kilmashenko, Oranski, Fedko, Shugai and Marchenko felt the support and care from faraway Scandinavia. Your compassion gives us hope and confidence that we are not alone.
